It offers something that’s surprisingly hard to find in one product: aloe vera, a blend of nine red, brown, and green sea vegetables, and additional whole-food ingredients in an easy-to-take liquid.
Body Balance™ 2.0 keeps that basic nutritional philosophy while updating the formula with ACTIValoe® organic aloe vera inner leaf juice, flaxseed and elderberry, and without the potassium sorbate and potassium benzoate used in the previous liquid formula.
For someone looking for a broad, whole-food-based nutritional foundation rather than a formula built around large amounts of isolated vitamins and minerals, Body Balance™ 2.0 fills a useful place in our lineup.
Why I Recommend It
If you came here from my original Body Balance™ page, you already know what a difference that formula made for me personally, particularly with my seasonal allergies and energy level. So when I was given the opportunity to try this new formulation before its release, I was paying attention.
I was actually given the sample blind—no label information—so that my reaction to the taste wouldn’t be influenced by knowing what had changed. I wrote a corporate representative afterward and said I liked the consistency, which seemed just a little thicker than water, and that my first impression was that they had added peach. Nope. No peach. You can see that for yourself in the ingredient list. But to my taste buds, it has a rich, fruity flavor.
Once I learned what had actually changed, I found several upgrades I liked: a different aloe source using ACTIValoe®, which still meets International Aloe Science Council (IASC) certification standards and, according to Aloecorp, is the only aloe ingredient for which a supplier quantifies and guarantees 10% polysaccharide retention by dry weight; the same SeaNine® blend of nine sea vegetables; the addition of flaxseed and a touch of oregano flavor (and I do mean a touch—it brings out the berry flavor, I promise); and, perhaps most noticeably to me, the removal of potassium benzoate and potassium sorbate from the previous liquid formula.
I liked the original Body Balance™ enough to keep taking it for years. What I like about Body Balance™ 2.0 is that they didn’t throw away the basic idea behind a product I already valued. They kept the aloe-and-sea-vegetable foundation and made some changes that, for me, make the new formula even more appealing.

Why doesn’t the Nutrition Facts panel list all the nutrients found in the sea vegetables? The Nutrition Facts panel lists nutrients that are required or appropriate to declare based on the finished product; it isn’t an inventory of every naturally occurring compound present in whole-food ingredients. Sea vegetables can contain a much wider variety of naturally occurring minerals, trace minerals, pigments, polysaccharides, and other compounds, and their amounts can also vary by species and growing conditions.
Do unopened bottles of Body Balance™ 2.0 need to be refrigerated? No. I suggest keeping them in a cool, dry place. Refrigerate after opening and shake the bottle before use.
What does Body Balance™ 2.0 taste like? It has a rich, fruity black cherry flavor. There’s also a small amount of oregano flavor in the formula, but don’t let that scare you—it doesn’t taste like you’re drinking pizza sauce.
