My husband and I learned early on that we needed to prioritze emergencies if we were going to get any private or uninterrupted time alone or together. One day, after being disturbed one too many times by a child who was angry that their sibling was thinking bad thoughts about them, I came up with criteria they were to use before they came to me again: blood, throw up, or someone in danger--and ONLY blood, throw up, or someone in danger.
I'm tired of Nutrition Extremists telling people that the sky is falling when it's not. I'm tired of them espousing a food or diet that they will only demean and shun a few years later. I'm tired of them taking advantage of their following by offering sound advice that they can only get to if they sift through a bunch of really unimportant stuff.
Please people--show some respect for us and our needs! Come to us only when there's blood, throw up, or someone in danger!
